Stalingrad

Just watch the film.

This is the great film. So brutally honest. Graphically impressive. That's the war as it happenned through the look of a small group of German soldiers. Ironically, all characters died at the end of the film.

If you want to watch a good war movie, this is for you. Throw away some Holywood stuffs like Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gate etc, which romantize war and heroes. Yeah, surely Jude Law need some sex before killing his arch enemy.

Though I've only seen few German films (Run Lola run, The Downfall, the Experiment and this film), I feel that German films are really good in portraying the human conditions especially in difficult time.  You can't help but ask yourself what would you have done if you were there.
